Send Safely — Photos

Finds the resident registration number, bank account, card number, phone number, name and address inside a photo and covers them over. For Android phones.

The photo never leaves the phone

Getting ready…

Open this page on the phone and press the button. If you download it on a computer you will have to move the file across.

One thing to say in advance

When you install it, the permission list Android shows you includes “internet”. That is put there by default by the toolkit the app is built with, and we do not use it — no photo and no text is sent anywhere. In case that does not sit well with you, the next build will have that permission removed altogether.

Once you have it

  1. Tap the downloaded file (Valuestools Send Safely.apk).
  2. If it asks about "apps from unknown sources", choose allow. — that is because it is not on the Play Store yet.
  3. Open it and pick a photo. That is all there is to it.

When people use it

You can switch each kind on and off in the app. Things that do not need hiding — a business registration number, for instance — are off from the start.

Please still look before you send

The app checks its own work — after covering, it reads the picture again and covers wider if anything survived. It never sends anything by itself, so the last look is yours. Give the covered picture a glance before it goes out.

There is a desktop version too

This app works on photos. For files on a computer — Excel, Word, HWP, PDF, CSV — there is Send Safely — Files for Windows, on the shop page.

Korean and English, both

It follows the language your phone is set to. 한국어 페이지

There is no iPhone build yet. If a very old phone says “cannot install”, tell us and we will make a build for it.
