환불 정책

1. 먼저, 법이 정한 것부터

전자상거래 등에서의 소비자보호에 관한 법률 제17조는 손님에게 받은 날부터 7일 안에 주문을 물릴 권리(청약철회)를 줍니다. 밸류스가 파는 것은 모두 디지털 상품이라 이 권리가 일부 제한될 수 있는데, 법은 그 제한을 그냥 인정해 주지 않습니다. 파는 사람이 미리 분명하게 알려 두었거나, 미리 맛보거나 써 볼 수 있게 해 두었을 때만 제한할 수 있습니다. 이 페이지가 그 “미리 알려 두는 자리”입니다.

그리고 환불하기로 정해지면, 밸류스는 3영업일 안에 돈을 돌려드립니다. 늦어지면 법이 정한 이자를 더해 드립니다. 카드로 결제하셨으면 그 안에 결제 취소를 요청합니다.

2. 프로그램 (윈도우 도구)

구매 후 7일 이내, 그리고 라이선스 키를 아직 활성화(등록)하지 않은 경우 전액 환불을 요청하실 수 있습니다.

키를 이미 등록하셨다면, 프로그램을 받아 쓰기 시작하신 것이라 환불이 제한될 수 있습니다. 이 점을 여기에 미리 적어 두는 이유가 그것입니다. 다만 아래의 경우는 기간이나 등록 여부와 상관없이 돌려드립니다.

• 프로그램에 결함이 있어 정상적으로 동작하지 않는 경우 — 먼저 고쳐 드리려 애쓰고, 그래도 해결되지 않으면 환불해 드립니다.
• 홈페이지에 적힌 설명과 실제 기능이 다른 경우 — 이때는 받은 날부터 3개월 안에, 그 사실을 아신 날부터 30일 안에 물리실 수 있습니다.
• 손님의 컴퓨터에서 아예 설치나 실행이 되지 않는 경우.

다만 라이선스 키를 무단으로 배포하는 등 이용약관을 어긴 사용이 확인되면 환불해 드리지 않습니다.

값을 받지 않는 프로그램(폴더지킴이, PDF 반짇고리, 캡처 색연필, 이름표 붙이기)과 무료 웹 도구는 치르신 값이 없으니 환불할 것도 없습니다.

3. 책 (전자책)

책에는 라이선스 키가 없습니다. 그래서 “키를 등록했는지”로 따지지 않고, 이렇게 합니다.

모든 책에는 맛보기 PDF가 있습니다. 가입도, 이름도, 전자우편 주소도 없이 그냥 내려받아 보실 수 있습니다. 맛보기를 둔 이유가 바로 이것입니다. 값을 치르기 전에 글투가 맞는지, 읽을 만한지 먼저 확인하시라는 뜻입니다. 법에서 말하는 “시용(試用) 상품을 제공한 경우”가 이것입니다.

그래서 EPUB과 PDF 파일을 보내 드린 뒤에는 원칙적으로 환불이 어렵습니다. 복사 방지를 걸지 않은 파일이라, 이미 손님 손에 온전히 들어간 뒤이기 때문입니다. 그 점을 이 자리에 미리 분명히 적어 둡니다.

그래도 이런 때는 돌려드립니다.

• 아직 파일을 보내 드리기 전이라면 — 언제든 “그만두겠습니다” 한 줄만 주시면 전액 돌려드립니다. 아무것도 묻지 않습니다.
• 보내 드린 파일이 열리지 않거나, 글자가 깨졌거나, 쪽이 빠졌을 때 — 먼저 성한 파일로 다시 보내 드리고, 그래도 안 되면 전액 돌려드립니다.
• 주문하신 책과 다른 책을 보낸 때 — 제 잘못이니 바로잡고, 원하시면 돌려드립니다.
• 책방에 적힌 소개와 책의 내용이 실제로 다른 때 — 받으신 날부터 3개월 안에, 그 사실을 아신 날부터 30일 안에 말씀해 주시면 돌려드립니다.
• 같은 책을 실수로 두 번 사신 때 — 겹친 값을 돌려드립니다.

덧붙여, 읽어 보셨는데 값이 아깝다고 느끼셨다면 그냥 그렇게 편지를 주세요. 위의 어디에도 해당하지 않아도 사정을 듣고 돌려드릴 때가 많습니다. 책 한 권 값 때문에 기분 상한 손님을 남기고 싶지 않습니다. 다만 그건 제 뜻이지 약속은 아니라서, 할 수 있다고 적지는 않겠습니다.

4. 구독 (AI 사무직원)

AI 사무직원은 한 달에 500,000원을 내는 구독입니다.

• 그만두는 방법: ranger7903@nate.com으로 “구독을 그만두겠습니다” 한 줄을 보내 주시면 됩니다. Paddle 결제 안내 편지의 구독 관리 링크에서 직접 하셔도 됩니다.
• 언제부터 멈추나: 신청을 받은 즉시 다음 달 결제를 멈춥니다. 자동으로 다시 결제되지 않습니다.
• 이번 달은 어떻게 되나: 이미 값을 치른 달은 남은 날까지 그대로 쓰실 수 있습니다. 중간에 끊지 않습니다.
• 첫 달에 그만두실 때: 처음 결제하고 7일 안에, 아직 본격적으로 쓰지 않으셨다면 전액 돌려드립니다.
• 이미 쓰신 달: 한 달을 거의 다 쓰신 뒤의 이용료는 돌려드리기 어렵습니다. 다만 그 달에 서비스가 제대로 돌아가지 않은 날이 있었다면 그만큼 계산해 돌려드립니다.
• 서비스를 멈추게 될 때: 밸류스 쪽 사정으로 서비스를 접게 되면, 미리 알려 드리고 남은 기간의 값을 날짜로 나누어 돌려드립니다.

5. 환불을 요청하는 방법

ranger7903@nate.com으로 주문 시 사용한 전자우편 주소와 상품 이름을 적어 보내 주세요. 이유는 적으셔도 되고 안 적으셔도 됩니다.

보통 1~2영업일 안에 확인해 답을 드리고, 환불하기로 정해지면 3영업일 안에 처리합니다. 카드로 결제하신 건은 Paddle을 통해 취소되며, 카드사 사정에 따라 결제하신 카드에 반영되기까지 3~10영업일이 더 걸릴 수 있습니다. 이 기간은 카드사가 정하는 것이라 밸류스가 줄여 드릴 수 없습니다.

편지로 주문하신 책은 값을 치르신 그 방법 그대로 돌려드립니다.

6. 취소 수수료

받지 않습니다. 주문을 물리신다고 해서 위약금이나 수수료를 물리지 않습니다. 법으로도 그렇게 못 하게 되어 있습니다.

Refund Policy

Effective: September 17, 2026

1. What the law gives you first

Article 17 of Korea's Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce gives you the right to withdraw an order within 7 days of receiving it. Everything VALUES sells is digital, and that right can be limited for digital content — but the law does not grant the limit automatically. A seller may rely on it only if the limit was clearly disclosed in advance, or a sample or trial was provided. This page is that advance disclosure.

And once a refund is agreed, VALUES pays it back within 3 business days, with statutory interest if we are late. For card purchases we request the cancellation within that time.

2. Programs (Windows tools)

You can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, provided the licence key has not yet been activated.

Once the key is activated you have received and begun using the software, so a refund may be declined — which is exactly why it is written here in advance. These cases are refunded regardless of the time elapsed or activation:

• the program has a genuine defect and doesn't work — we try to fix it first, and refund you if it can't be resolved,
• the program does not do what this site said it does — you have 3 months from delivery, or 30 days from noticing, to withdraw,
• it will not install or run on your computer at all.

Refunds are declined where the purchase violated our Terms of Service, for example unauthorized redistribution of a licence key.

The free programs (폴더지킴이, PDF 반짇고리, 캡처 색연필, 이름표 붙이기) and the free web tools cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund.

3. Books (ebooks)

Books have no licence key, so activation isn't the test. Here is how it works instead.

Every book has a free sample PDF. You can download it without an account, a name or an email address. That is precisely why the samples exist: so you can check the voice and the substance before paying. This is the "trial provided" that the law refers to.

So once the EPUB and PDF files have been sent, a refund is generally not possible. The files carry no DRM and are fully in your hands by then. We are stating that plainly here, in advance.

These cases are still refunded:

• Before the files have been sent — one line saying you've changed your mind gets you a full refund, no questions asked.
• The files won't open, the text is garbled, or pages are missing — we resend a good copy first, and refund in full if that fails.
• We sent the wrong book — our mistake; we fix it, and refund if you prefer.
• The book's actual content differs from its description in the bookstore — tell us within 3 months of delivery, or 30 days of noticing.
• You bought the same book twice by accident — we return the duplicate payment.

Beyond that: if you read it and felt it wasn't worth the money, just write and say so. Even when none of the cases above applies, we often listen and refund anyway. We would rather not keep a customer's money and lose the customer over the price of one book. But that is our intent, not a promise, so we won't write it down as one.

4. Subscription (AI 사무직원)

AI 사무직원 costs ₩500,000 per month.

• How to stop it: email one line to ranger7903@nate.com, or use the subscription-management link in Paddle's receipt email.
• When it stops: billing for the next month is stopped as soon as we have your request. Nothing renews after that.
• The month already paid for: it stays usable to its last day. We do not cut it short.
• Cancelling in the first month: within 7 days of the first charge, if you haven't really started using it, we refund in full.
• Months already used: a month you have largely used is not refundable. If the service was down for part of that month, we refund that part pro rata.
• If we discontinue the service: we tell you in advance and refund the unused remainder pro rata.

5. How to request a refund

Email ranger7903@nate.com with the address you used to order and the product name. A reason is welcome but not required.

We usually reply within 1–2 business days, and once a refund is agreed we process it within 3 business days. Card purchases are cancelled through Paddle; your card issuer may take a further 3–10 business days to show it, which is the issuer's timing and not something we can shorten.

Books ordered by email are refunded by the same method you used to pay.

6. Cancellation fees

There are none. Withdrawing an order costs you no penalty or fee — Korean law forbids charging one.
